How Food Intolerances Relate to Leaky Gut

If you have food intolerances and are eating these foods, the lining of your intestines can become damaged and this can cause leaky gut.

Leaky gut is where the cells of the intestines can start to come apart and effectively, the intestinal wall gets small holes in it which allow food particles to go directly into the bloodstream. This can then cause inflammation and an immune reaction to foods.

The symptoms of leaky gut are similar to food intolerances and they include bloating, gas, reflux, diarrhoea, IBS, joint pain, headaches, migraines and brain fog.
